The NSW Primary Principals’ Association (NSWPPA) annual conference theme for 2011 is ‘New Wave - Leading and Learning’. The program has been designed to provide a rich professional learning experience for NSW public school principals focussing on the development of effective leadership.
The conference offers:
a variety of guest speakers;
the NSWPPA AGM and business sessions; and
social functions concluding with the Dinner on Friday 28 October.
The conference is limited to financial members of the NSW
PPA.
Relieving principals must be financial members of the appropriate
principals’ association in their own right or have permission from that
association to attend the conference. Relieving principals must be in
the principal’s position at the time of the conference.
Principals will register online for the conference.
The cost of conference registration does not include accommodation.
Principals will be required to arrange their own accommodation at one of
the three hotels where special rates have been arranged or at another venue
of their choice. The professional learning component of the conference
registration package is discounted using funds contributed by organisations.
Social events have been discounted by funds raised through sponsorship.
Payment is by cheque only.

The professional learning program focuses on leadership
and aims to inspire. Speakers include: Kurt Fearnley, Prof Tony
Vinson, Dr Adam Fraser, Michael McQueen, Nigel Marsh, Jim Molan, Feyi
Akindoyeni and Glenn A Baker the compere. See the Program pages for details.
The social program includes:
Welcome to Conference at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel (Tuesday 25
October);
Harbour Cruise (Wednesday 26 October);
Reception for Public Education (Thursday 27 October);
Conference Dinner (Friday 28 October).
When completing online registration principals will be
asked to nominate which social events they will be attending.
There are no refunds for conference events
that principals choose not to attend, nor are tickets transferable.
Space permitting, tickets are available for partners of conference
participants at cost. See the Social Functions pages for details.
Accommodation at the NSW government rate has been
arranged at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, the venue for the conference, the
Radisson Plaza Sydney and the Travelodge Martin Place. Please see the
