The cost of conference registration does not include accommodation. Registrants will be required to arrange their own accommodation.  They may choose one of three hotels below where special rates have been arranged, or another hotel of their choice.

Below are links to accommodation forms for each of the hotels. They can be downloaded and faxed to the selected hotel to reserve your conference accommodation. Each of the hotels will accept payment by a school cheque but principals will need to use their credit card initially to secure their accommodation.  Before bookings are made principals should carefully read the cancellation clauses on the accommodation booking form.  There are significant penalties for late changes and/or cancellations to accommodation bookings.

ACCOMMODATION NOTES

• Accommodation prices are per room per night and are GST inclusive.
• Breakfast prices are per day and are GST inclusive.
• Parking fees are not included in registration and are the responsibility of participants.  Parking prices listed above are per overnight, GST inclusive and subject to change.

BREAKFAST

• Breakfast for residents at all hotels is available at the venue.  The cost of breakfast can be prepaid with accommodation or booked to room accounts upon consumption.
• Breakfast, other than Thursday, when a continental breakfast is provided at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel (for Breakfast with Sponsors) event may be purchased at any one of many locations in the city.  A convenient location, that offers a wide choice, is The Wintergarden, on the corner of Young and Bent streets. The Wintergarden is a favourite with NSWPPA State Council Delegates because it is quick and inexpensive.  Vouchers offering a discount on the purchase of breakfast at the Wintergarden will be given to you at registration.
• Breakfast with Sponsors, to be held on Thursday morning at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, is included in full and Thursday registration packages.  The continental breakfast will be available from 7:30am.  It offers an opportunity for registrants to speak with our sponsors and have their Sponsors’ Passport stamped in readiness for the Early Bird Sponsors’ Draw at 11:00am on Thursday.

FINDING ALTERNATE ACCOMMODATION

Some conference participants will find it cheaper to join with several other colleagues and rent a serviced apartment close to the conference venue.  Others have found inner city pubs to be a cheaper accommodation option. The areas of Sydney closest to the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, the conference venue, are the Rocks, Circular Quay and areas of the central business district north of Hyde Park. To find suitable accommodation some helpful websites are:

Other useful sites are wotif.com and lastminute.com. They will give you an idea of what accommodation is located near the conference venue.  However, be aware that discounted hotel rates are usually available only a short time away from the required date (well after registrations have closed).  If you plan to use this site you will need a back up plan in case nothing suitable is available when you require it.
